Ingrediants:-
- Tomato -1
- Mustard -1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves -
- Coriander leaves- 2tbsp
- salt
- oil
To Grind :-
- Tomato -1 /2
- Dry red chillies -5
- Green chillies -1
- Cumin seeds -1 tsp
- Garlic pod -2 big
- Peppercorns - 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
- Tamarind - 1 small goosebery size
- Hing - a big pinch
- Coriander leaves- 2tbsp
Method:-
- Grind the ingrediants given to grind into a smooth paste...
- In a pan add oil and season it with mustard , curry leaves
- Now add garlic pods and tomatoes chopped and saute till tomatoes slighty ouches water..
- now add the ground paste ,and water i added almost 3 to 4 cups..and salt..
- Once it starts to boil add chopped coriander leaves..
- Serve hot with white rice on a rainy day...can't ask for more..enjoy :)
Note:-
- We are not extracting tamarind pulp, instead we are grinding it with the paste .one less work to do on a lazy day :)
- This rasam was very spicy ,but if u are not nuts like us for spicy rasam on a rainy day with a very bad cold i'll suggest u use less chillies atleast 2 or 3 less than mentioned...
