Ladies finger in yogurt sauce (Vendaka pachadi)

     This will be one of the dishes which will find its place when we prepare a veg thali.simple refreshing dish .this dish can also be prepared with cucumber...

    Ladies finger / Okra -10 nos
    Yogurt/curd   - 1.5 cups 
    Coconut       -2 tbsps (grated)
    G.chillies        - 2 or 3 (acc to ur spice level)
    Cumin seeds   -1 tsp
    Garlic pod      - 1 small
    Oil    -fop  deep frying the okra
For Tempering:-
    Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
    Red chillies -2
    Curry Leaves- a spring

     Cut okra /ladies finger  into thin round slices.
     Grind the coconut,cumin,garlic,g.chillies into a fine paste,and keep it aside.
     Take the curd and beat it so that it is smooth and creamy add salt and the coconut mixture.
     Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the okra/ ladies finger.until okra becomes brown .and place it in a tissue to absorb the excess oil.
     In a pan add oil ,once oil is hot add mustard seed add let it splutter then add the curry leaves and dry red chillies.pour this tempering in to the curd mixture.

     Add the fried okra to the curd mixture just before serving so that the okra will be crispy...

Note: we can use cucumber instead of okra but while using cucumber we need to blanch or par boil the cucumber in water.
