Aloo Methi



Recipe Source :- Chef  Sanjeev Kapoor
Ingredients:-
  • Potato - 2 big
  • Fenugreek leaves - 1 bunch
  • Tomatoes - 3 medium
  • Ginger Grated - 1 tsp
  • Garlic Pods - 3 big (Chopped)
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp
Method:-

Heat Oil in a pan and add Grated Ginger and Chopped Garlic. Saute for few seconds.

 Add the cleaned Fenugreek leaves 

And saute for few mins..

Now Add in the Bite size pieces of potato. and mix well..

 Add the chilli powder ,coriander powder and turmeric powder.

 and saute for few mins..

Add 1/2 cup water and salt cook covered in low flame till potatoes becomes soft and fully cooked.


 Meanwhile in another pan ,Heat oil and season it with some cumin seeds...

Once Cumin  seeds begins to crackle , add the chopped tomatoes .

Cook covered till the tomatoes becomes mushy ..


Add this cooked tomatoes to the o gravy and mix well..

Add garam masala powder

and sugar..

Mix well ..and cook till the gravy reaches your desired consistency..

Serve hot with some rotis or chappathis..
