Kara Bhoondi (Crispy Crunchy Snack)

Ingredients:-

  • Besan flour /Chick Pea Flour - 3 cups
  • Peanuts - 1/2 cup
  • Curry leaves - 1 cup
  • Garlic pods - 5 big pods
  • Chilli powder - 1 to 2 tsp ( according to taste)
  • Hing - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt
  • Oil - for deep frying + 2 tbsp
Note:-

You will need
  •  Perforated ladle ( With small round holes) -2
  •  Normal Round ladle -1

Method:-

  1. In a bowl take the besan flour and mix it with 2 tbsps of oil.Add water and make it to a nice batter with out lumps( should be like dosa batter).i added 3 cups of water for 3 cup of besan..
  2. Now in a pan heat oil and keep it medium to low flame .
  3. Once oil is hot ,place a perforated ladle just few inches above the oil...and pour the batter of besan into it using the round ladle..
  4. Now tap the perforated laddle slightly so that the batter will fall through the laddle holes in an even round shape.
  5. After every use scrape both the side of the  perforated laddle before using again.
  6. Cook the bhoondi till crispy..
  7. Drain the bhoondi from the oil and keep it aside..do this to the remaining batter.
  8. Now deep fry curry leaves,Garlic ( Leave skin of garlic intact and crush ),peanuts, separately and drain it..keep it aside.
  9. Make a coarse powder of the fried curry leaves and add it to the fried peanuts and garlic.add the chili powder ,hing, salt, mix well.
  10. Now add spice mix to the bhoondi and toss well so all the spices coat the bhoondi evenly...

Now a very tasty, spicy ,crispy, crunchy tea time snack it ready...and it taste really like the kara bhoondi we get back home..with lots of garlic and hing flavor...love it...try it u'll love it too..:)
